Go to Deposit Student Works and log in with your MacEwan Network ID and password.
The file upload form will ask for the following information:
- Name & email (@mymacewan.ca)
- A faculty member’s name and email to approve the posting
- Program, and course code, if applicable
- Where the work was presented or featured, if applicable
- A title and brief abstract or description (250 words or less)
- Permission to either:
- post the work publicly online;
- restrict access to MacEwan users with just the title and abstract made public;
- post the work following a two-year embargo period with only the title and abstract made public in the meantime; or
- there is also an "other" option with a text box for a student to request some other approach to providing access to their work.
File Types
A wide variety of file types can be deposited. Wherever possible, works will be converted to PDF before they are posted.
Using the deposit form, students can upload more than one file affiliated with their work if they wish.
Copyright Considerations
Before depositing works, students will be asked to agree to RO@M's Terms of Service.
Students maintain copyright to their works and may request to withdraw their work from public view at any time following deposit. In most cases, metadata describing the work will be retained.
If a student wishes to share their work under a Creative Commons License please include this information in the comment box at the bottom of the deposit form or contact us.
Digital Object Identifiers
Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent, unique identifiers that help with locating and tracking online documents, and have become a citation standard when referencing works.
DOIs are automatically assigned to undergraduate theses posted to RO@M. To request a DOI for other types of student work not formally published elsewhere, contact us.
