Item A comparison between real and DLA simulated liver lobules using a population density analysis(2014) Wisk, Sara; Rezania, VahidA liver lobule is comprised of networks of sinusoids and hepatocytes. Here, a liver lobule was computationally constructed by using diffusion-limited aggregation (DLA) method. A population density analysis of the sinusoids and hepatocytes was performed and then compared with a real lobule image. The resulting images were compared using a histogram to interpret the ratio of hepatocytes to sinusoids.Item Population density analysis of a liver lobule(2015) Wisk, Sara; Rezania, Vahid; Rezania, VahidThe purpose of my research was to analyze the population densities of hepatocytes and sinusoids in the liver lobule of a real image and a simulated image. This analysis was done using Matlab. This information would then be used to make adjustments to the code in the simulated image to reflect the population density in a real image.
