| dc.description.abstract | This chapter provides an overview and the rationale behind creating an edited book on Teaching Economics at the Undergraduate Level. A brief discussion surrounding how the idea for the book came about and a brief introduction to the book's content will also be provided. As faculty members of universities, we are typically engaged in three areas of activities -- teaching, scholarly activity, and service, among which we all have teaching responsibility. In other words, we all are educators. No matter what courses are offered, a minimum standard of teaching must be maintained. Being educators at post-secondary institutions with little or no formal training in education, we continue to learn from each other and strive for excellence in teaching. | |
