| dc.description.abstract | Nurturing is a familiar concept within early learning and care, but is it well understood? Do we understand what children do when caring for a baby doll or responding to others who are crying? In this presentation, Brooke talks about six core principles underlying the concept of nurturing and discusses a practice story of a child nurturing within play. Brooke hopes that educators will attend to the ways children nurture for growing a practice of relationships. | |
