A dryad is a tree spirit or nymph that lives in a tree. This Tales from the Lilypad original story by Marlene Wurfel is about a Black Poplar dryad named Daiya. This story is loosely inspired by Greek mythology and greatly inspired by my love for Balsam Poplars. Yeah, it gets a bit sappy.
