dc.description.abstract | Traumatic memory and survivor identity are intertwined. When traumatic events occur, such as the Holocaust, the experiences which the survivors undergo will permanently change their perception of self and the world around them. This paper will analyze the relationship of traumatic memory and survivor identity in the graphic novel series Maus: A Survivors Tale, Maus II: And Here My Troubles Began, and the documentary Hiding and Seeking, and will discuss their similarities. | |
